Tom Watch


Tom Watch's initial involvement in Channel swimming came with his Weymouth friend Godfrey Chapman who was the first British swimmer to finish in the 1951 Daily Mail cross-Channel race.

Subsequently, he coached other Weymouth swimmers, including Jacqui Hampson and Philip Gollop, as well as other swimmers from around the world, including King of the Channel, Britain's Kevin Murphy.

Tom died at age 93 on 9 February 2020.
